Welcome to HelloSun. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HelloSun website at hellosun.solar, the customer portal at my.hellosun.solar, and SMS and email communications we send (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
HelloSun LLC ("HelloSun," "we," "us," or "our") is a Pennsylvania-based veteran-owned solar and battery systems installer specializing in custom-engineered residential and commercial systems. Our service area, scope, and current product offerings are described on our website and may change over time.
2. The Services
The Services include marketing pages describing our offerings, a customer onboarding flow, a portal where active customers can view their proposal, contract, design, install schedule, and system performance, and communications (email and SMS) about their project. The Services are provided to you on an as-available basis.
Visiting the website and exploring information about solar does not by itself create any obligation between us. A binding agreement to install a solar or battery system arises only from a separately executed written contract that you sign and we accept.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts to create an account or sign an agreement. You represent that the information you provide is true, current, and complete.
4. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at info@hellosun.solar immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are fraudulent, or are inactive for extended periods.
5. SMS and Email Communications
When you opt in to SMS notifications during signup, you authorize HelloSun to send transactional text messages about your solar project (site survey reminders, proposal-ready notifications, install reminders, activation confirmations, and similar). You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by toggling SMS off in your account Notification Preferences. Reply HELP for support information. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
Transactional emails (about your project) are sent regardless of SMS preferences, because they are essential to fulfilling our service. Marketing emails are sent only with your separate consent and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any message.

6. Quotes, Proposals, and Contracts
Online estimates, proposal previews, savings calculators, and any non-signed proposal documents are preliminary. They are based on assumptions and information provided to us; final pricing, system size, and savings depend on site survey results, utility rate schedules, structural and electrical conditions, permitting outcomes, and equipment availability.
A binding installation agreement is created only by a written contract you and HelloSun sign. The signed contract - together with any signed change orders - controls in the event of any conflict with marketing material, calculator output, or other website content.
7. Permits, Interconnection, and Incentives
HelloSun handles permits and utility interconnection paperwork as part of standard installation. We do our best to estimate timelines for permit and interconnection approval, but these depend on third-party authorities and are not guaranteed.
Tax credits, rebates, SREC market values, and any other incentives are administered by federal, state, and utility authorities and may change. HelloSun does not provide tax, legal, or investment advice. Consult a qualified tax professional for guidance on whether any incentive applies to your specific situation.
8. Warranties
HelloSun-provided workmanship warranties, and manufacturer warranties on panels, inverters, batteries, and racking, are described in your signed installation agreement and the manufacturer documentation provided at install. Nothing on the website creates additional warranties beyond those expressly stated in your signed contract.
9. Intellectual Property
The HelloSun name, logo, photographs, copy, code, designs, and other content on the Services are owned by HelloSun or our licensors and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any portion of the Services without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by applicable law. Photographs of customer installations are used only with the customer's permission.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defraud, or harm any person.
- Submit false information, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your relationship to a property.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services, other accounts, or our systems.
- Upload viruses, malicious code, or content that infringes another party's rights.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically download content from the Services for commercial use.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to third-party websites or use third-party services (e.g., Google Maps, financing partners, payment processors, e-signature, Resend for email, Twilio for SMS). HelloSun is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HelloSun and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services that is not resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. This Section 15 does not apply to disputes arising under a signed installation contract; those are governed by the dispute-resolution clauses of that contract.
16. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new effective date at the top, and for material changes we will notify active customers by email. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms or for fraudulent activity. Termination of website access does not terminate any signed installation agreement; those obligations continue per the contract.
18. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed installation agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and HelloSun regarding the Services. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
